The BMI is a weight-to-height ratio, calculated by dividing a person’s weight by the square of the person’s height and multiplying the results by a value that changes based on the unit of measure used to enter the height and weight. It indicates whether the person is underweight, normal weight, overweight, obese or morbidly obese.
The Body Mass Indicator (BMI) is a strong indicator of a person’s nutritional health.
